Fitz Roy Urban Hotel, Bar And Garden, Maastricht

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious with retro fittings, huge, and comfy beds but the view from my room on the first floor facing the courtyard was disappointing as it overlooked a dirty rooftop with a large air conditioning unit. The service was very nice and helpful, with quick provision of an ice bucket and glasses for our room, and the staff were friendly and courteous. The location was great, as it was near the famous 'Markt' and within walking distance of the main square, but I had issues with the TV remote not working and limited TV channels available due to a satellite receiver problem. The dining experience was nice, complementing the positive aspects, but it was a bit pricey for what was offered, leading me to eat out for the rest of my stay.

This hotel offered a lovely traditional Parisian feel with spacious rooms, huge comfy beds, and nice bathrooms. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable, even inviting me for a drink while waiting for a colleague. The location was ideal, close to the city center yet quiet. The dining options were delicious but a bit on the pricey side. The facilities were excellent overall.
